I've Been Every Where, Man.... Almost... Working on it LOL!

I don't know when the travel bug hit me. Seems like I've always enjoyed a new adventure and this beautiful country of ours is full of them. I love meeting new people, seeing new places, experiencing new things and traveling allows me to do all of this.

I recall only one real vacation my family and I went on as a child. As a young adult, the most traveling I did was to visit my brother in Mississippi or Texas and then Alaska while he was in the Air Force. I did get to fly to the Finger Lakes region of New York in 2004 and Tennessee a couple of times to visit with a friend as well as Washington state between 1994 and 2011 to visit with my bonus daughter, son, son-in-love and grandson.

When my granddaughter was younger and danced, we traveled to Florida and TN for her competitions.  My son treated me to a short trip in NY City in 2014.

My first trip not family related was to Arizona with a friend for his daughter's baby shower. He stayed with his family and I stayed with my neice who lived in Tempe at the time. While there, we went to Sedona. You can read all about that HERE.

Back in 2017 I went on a West Coast Vacation that encompassed 15 states, 15 National Parks and numerous side excursions. That entire trip was shared in various posts on my original blog, http://pamswildroseblog.blogspot.com

I'm listing them below for your convenience...

West Coast Vacation #1; WCV #2; WCV #3; WCV #4; WCV #5; WCV #6; WCV #7; WCV #8; WCV #9

During this trip I started collecting magnets for the places I visit each time I travel. Look closely and you'll also see a couple of lanyards from special events... Disney & All American Half-Time Show when my granddaughter danced at the Citris Bowl in 2019 and The Chosen Conference in Dallas, TX Oct. 2023.

I hope you'll take some time and check out all the places I've been so far and come along with me for the ride in future.

Welcome to My New Travel Blog

By boat, train, airplane or automobile, I LOVE to travel! I've been more places and visited more states in the last ten years of my life than the 50 yrs. before.

You may wonder why I chose to call my blog "Bathroom Blues."

Well, let me tell you.

Having worked in the healthcare industry, the correlation between cleanliness and healthiness was strongly instilled in me. Which was unnecessary as the one thing I can't stand is a filthy bathroom. I used to feel that strongly about a dirty kitchen too, but as it's just me living in my house, I've lightened up on that.

Though, I will not let dirty dishes stay in the sink for long.

Anyway, I've wanted to do a travel blog for quite sometime, but had no clue what to name said blog. I played around with this idea for years and thought Bathroom Blues would be a catchy title given my penchant for sanitary restroom conditions.

My original plan was to show pictures of the facilities at different campgrounds, etc. but due to our sue-happy society decided against it.

Instead I've decided on a simple way to gauge those I mention.....

Not Up to My Standards: Singing the Blues

Mediocre: Humming the Blues

Outstanding: Singing a Happy tune

**Please note these are MY standards. Not everyone feels the way I do about restroom facilities!**

Know too, that this blog will be about more than bathrooms. I'll be sharing highlights of the many places I visit, things I see, and activities I enjoy.

I hope YOU'LL enjoy traveling with me!
